PacifiCorp Foundation awards scholarship funds for deserving College of Eastern Utah students

PRICE, Utah — Fall Semester has started, and a number of deserving College of Eastern Utah (CEU) students are attending classes thanks in part to scholarship funding from Utah Power’s charitable arm, the PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning. The Foundation has awarded $6,000 to CEU for scholarships for students in education and engineering programs.

CEU is among five Utah colleges and universities to receive funding for education programs this year, through the PacifiCorp Foundation’s Utah Power Fund. The scholarship grant is part of more than $300,000 awarded in June 2005, for learning initiatives across the electric utility’s six-state service area.

“We are pleased to continue our tradition of helping support students who are working hard to gain a quality education and make a difference in their communities,” said Deb Dull, Utah Power’s regional community manager. “The PacifiCorp Foundation awards four cycles of grants annually in the areas of education, health and welfare, community and the arts.”

Since its establishment, the PacifiCorp Foundation has awarded more than 6,500 grants totaling more than $38.4 million to communities served by Utah Power, Pacific Power and PacifiCorp. For additional information, visit www.pacificorpfoundation.org .
